Sensorial Activities
Colours, shapes, textures, weights, dimension, discrimination and distinguishing between smells, taste and sounds.
Sensorial activities teach children to refine their 5 senses: sight, touch, sound, smell and taste. The goal is to teach them to organise sensory impressions and understand the world through sensorial materials.
They get to learn concepts like similarity and difference, dimensions, colours and shapes, and distinguish between smells, taste and sound. Especially for elementary children, sensorial work sets the foundations for mathematics, language and geometry by teaching children how to organise, sort, classify and filter learning materials and components.
